Mobile Payment in China Wechat Pay and Alipay banned in Nepal

Chinese digital system Wechat and Alipay service banned in Nepal. Nepal Rastra Bank issued the official notice regarding this Chinese payment system which will no longer access in Nepal. As per the Government of Nepal, by the use of these services, Nepal is losing foreign currency and directly hampering the revenue of the country. Wechat and Alipay are the popular digital mobile payment in China and is growing rapidly. Along with China, other countries are also permitting this system into their country.

There are dozens of Hotels and lodge which are accepting this kind of digital payment system in Nepal, focusing the Chinese tourists. Chinese tourists feel really easy and comfortable for staying in Nepal, as they can pay their fee directly from this payment system. According to NRB, those payment systems which are not accepted by NRB will no longer work in Nepal, and if found services being used in Nepal, they will be punished according to the Nepalese digital plans and privacy policies.
