Department for International Development (DFID)/ Nepal Health Sector Support Programme (NHSSP)

DFID and NHSSP is seeking a full time, highly-qualified and motivated professionals who are committed to working with local governments in strengthening local health systems to deliver quality health services to people, through the following positions.

I) Coordinator – Health System Strengthening – position based in Kathmandu

Qualification and Experience: –

  • At least master’s degree in public health or relevant social sciences
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years progressive experience at managerial level
  • Excellent technical writing skills in report writing both in English and Nepali
  • Familiarity with the health planning and budgeting process in the health sector
  • Familiar with the ongoing health sector reform process and health system building blocks
  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders in a local development programme

II) Officer – Health System Strengthening – position based in the local level

Qualification and Experience: –

  • At least Master’s degree in public health or relevant social sciences;
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in relevant field
  • Excellent skills in report writing both in English and Nepali
  • Practical experience with the planning and budgeting process in the health sector
  • Demonstrable experience of working with major programme components in the health sector and the ongoing reform process
  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders in a local development programme
