The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Number (ICAAN) taking the responsibility of managing DNS system of Internet, where they agreed to add Nine Indian fonts for Domain Name in the Internet. The Nine Indian Scripts are: Devanagari, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Gurmukhi, Malayalam. The ICAAN India head Samiran Gupta in a press meet announced this notice regarding the script attaching while purchasing the Domain Name for your website.
In the Nine Scripts ICAAN included the Devanagari font. Now you can get the Domain Name for your website in Devnagari Font i.e You can now get the Domain Name for the website in your own country language (Nepali). Nepali language falls in the Devanagari fonts.
Out of 9, 6 scripts:- Telugu, Oriya, Kannada, Gujarati, Gurmukhi and Devanagari are already announced and sent for public comment. These 9 scripts are the most popular language speaks in west-Asia.
Currently there are 4.2 billion people who are using the internet and expected to increase to 5 billion by 2022. So, Noe-Brahmi Generation Panel, group of 60 Technical experts and linguists from India, Bangladesh, Sri-lanka, Singapore and Nepal is working to add these Scripts over the DNS system.
Now Internet users can type their own country language to search for any specific topic.
