Lenovo launched Thinkpad P1 and P72 as the thinnest laptop ever

Lenovo unveils the thinnest and portable laptop for those who carry laptops as their mobile phone. The two thinnest and portable laptops from Lenovo are Lenovo Thinkpad P1 and Lenovo Thinkpad P72. Both the devices are equally light as of MacBook Air. Among these two mobile workstations P1 is the thinnest than that of P72. Lenovo P1 is measures the thickness of 0.72 inches and that of P72 measures a-inch more than P1. So, both are equally portable, thinner and slimmer in compare to last years workstation laptops of Lenovo.

Lenovo Thinkpad P1: Overview

Lenovo Thinkpad P1 itself measures the thickness of 0.72 inches and weight of 3.76 pounds. Lenovo Thinkpad P1 comes with 15.6 inches of 4K display with the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Though the display size measures 15.6″ of display size, it has included the portable keyboard without the standard Numpad. The portable and slimmer Thinkpad P1 is powered by Intel 8th Generation Xeon processor functioning the task inside the laptop at 4.6GHz of Clock cycle. The Graphics properties of the laptop is now supported with Nvidia Quadro P series (either P1000 or P2000) graphics card. The combination CPU processor from Intel and GPU processor from Nvidia makes the functionality of the laptops gaming and running multi task at same timing is super smooth and prompt. The processor of the Thinkpad P1 is coupled up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and internal memory up to 4TB NVMe SSD.

Lenovo Thinkpad P1 houses the 80Whr of battery back up and ports such as 2 USB3.1, single Type-A port, HDMI 2,0, Ethernet, headphone jack and smart card reader. The thinnest Lenovo Thinkpad P1 caught out the price tag of $1,949.

Lenovo Thinkpad P72: Overview

Similarly, the next p-series thinnest laptop is Thinkpad P72 which is single inch thicker than P1 and weighs itself about 7.5 pounds, Lenovo Thinkpad P72 comes with 17.3 inches IPS FHD 4K display that hits up 300 nit of brightness aside the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This device also lack the standard numpad in the keyboard. As because Thinkpad devices doesn’t thinks it as the best suit. The Thinkpad P72 is powered by 8th Generation Intel Xeon CPU processor coupled with up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 6TB of internal storage. The graphics properties of the devices is supported with Nvidia Quadro P5200 GPU processor.

Lenovo Thinkpad P72 houses the battery back up of 99Whr and ports of Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, Headphone jack, smart card reader etc. The Lenovo Thinkpad P72 is available at $1,799.

So, In terms of processor both the laptops are equally equipped, whereas in  terms of weighs and battery back up, Lenovo P72 got the slightly thicker in size and more battery back up. With the small difference in both the devices causes the rise and fall in the price.
