On June of 2015, Samsung introduced its low range Samsung Galaxy J5 and it did get a lot of attention. It was affordable but at the same time, the low range phone had some amazing to die for features.
But again in 2016, Samsung re-launched the same phone in a new version. The new version was only a tad bit more expensive but the new functions and features added to the phone were almost mind blowing.

- Price: The price of Samsung Galaxy J5 in Nepal when first released was Nrs17, 900/- where as the price of Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is Nrs23, 490/-.
- Display: The Samsung Galaxy J5 has 0inch Super AMOLED screen with a 720p HD display whereas the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has 5.0inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
- Processor: The Samsung Galaxy J5 has 2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU whereas the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core with 1.2GHz CPU and Adreno 306 GPU.
- Memory: The Samsung Galaxy J5 has 5GB RAM with 8GB internal memory and micro SD card slot and Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and micro SD card slot.
