Samsung Galaxy J8 is the new J series line up of mid-range smartphones in Nepal. Samsung is the reputed mobile brand of Nepal and distributing their smartphones from many years in Nepal. So, Nepalese have some belief with Samsung products, that they don’t feel on other mobile brand such as Xiaomi, Huawei or Oppo or Vivo. n the year 2018 only Samsung brought more than 4 different budget range smartphones in Nepal. Firstly in Budget category, Samsung J2 2018 and Samsung J4 is leading the market. Similarly in the mid-range category Galaxy J7 Duo and Galaxy J6 is more valuable and that of premium range we got Galaxy A6, A6+ and Galaxy A8 Plus. Now, in the mi-range category we have Samsung Galaxy J8.

Samsung brought the Galaxy J8 in Nepal with 6.0 inches of display size and Super AMOLED Display type. Measuring the HD+ resolution, Samsung Galaxy J8 has 720 x 1480 pixels of screen resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Samsung Galaxy J8 doesn’t have any notch at the Top but have the Chin at the Top and Bottom of the phone and narrow bezels at the side. At the back pack, Samsung J8 has vertical aligned camera position and fingerprint sensor below the camera setup. The edge doesn’t have the sharp edge but have the rounded cornering edge.

Galaxy J8 is powered by Snapdragon 450 processor, which is very old chipset but performs smoothly. We got the Octa-core processor and functions at 1.8 GHz of clock cycle. Similarly the graphics of the phone is supported by Adreno 506 GPU and the phone is currently running Android 8.0 Oreo. The processor doesn’t seems to perfect in the price range. Neither the processor nor the Chipset. So, the performance of the phone is OK.

Samsung Galaxy J8 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The internal memory can be expanded upto 256GB, as their is separate extra slot for expanding the memory.

Samsung Galaxy J8 has 16MP single front camera setup and that of the rear camera of the phone is setup with dual 16MP and 5MP with f/1.9 aperture of lens in both the camera. Both the camera has LED flash features. With this dual rear camera, users can save the memory in high quality as it presents Bokeh effect. With the live focus available in the rear camera, it automatically blur the background and users can click the photo at portrait mode. isn’t it interesting?

Samsung Galaxy J8 is available in Nepal at Rs. 33,490. The price tag for this smartphone doesnt suit the mobile specs. The processor is too old and even 1GB of games can’t run smoothly. Camera is OK but, if we have front camera with dual than that’s going to be even better. Overall the phone specs is good, but i donot prefer you ti but this. Rather go for other option in the same price range such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI, VIVO V9 Youth, Oppo F7, Huawei Nova 3i and Huawei Nova 3e.
