Xiaomi is well known for the mobile company that chunks out quality Chinese phones. Among all those phones Xiaomi mi A1 is one of the top quality phone that is available now in market. Xiaomi mi A1 is the first phone with the partnership with Google.

Xiaomi mi A1 is all-metal and feels premium and sturdy, the edges are rounded and smooth. The unibody is gap-free, but like most mid-range phones, (The mi A1 is not a water resistant). There is 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom along with the USB type-c port, as for speaker’s loudness is excellent, and the sound is rich and crisp with even some good bass. The mi A1 comes with 64GB internal storage annd is expandable via other SD card. The always on responsive fingerprint sensor is located at the center of back of phone. Like other mi phone, it also has IR blast at the top, that helps in controlling, AC, TV etc. The navigation keys are located below the 5.5-inch screen.

The new ultra phone mi A1 a one is IPS LCD that has a 1080p resolution and covered with Gorilla Glass. The display is good and brightness is average, sunlight legibility is good too. Inside the mi A1, we found snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB ram and 64GB internal storage. The Xiaomi mi A1 runs android 7.1.2 nougat OS. While comparing these phones with other mi phone, the interface is smooth but there is is nothing unique except for timely android updates and stays cool even after heavy use. The battery life is solid on the Xiaomi mi A1, it has 3080mah battery. However, one of the disappointed thing that we got is no fast charging option; with the regular charger, we charge the battery from zero to 27% in 30 minutes in average.

Now while talking about the camera, mi A1 has a 12MP dual camera with wide angle F/2.2, dual LED flash, auto phase detection and 2160@30fps video, setup that is pretty similar to Xiaomi mi 6 and we are missing the OIS and the Braylon’s on the A1 though in good lighting the camera snaps pictures blazingly fast. In low light, the performance is a bit disappointing. The front facing camera 5MP and images come out satisfactory but there is high contrast and pleasant colors for videos with 1080p resolution is not good. Xiaomi A1 is one of those phones that delivers a ton of features in comparison with its price.

There is flagship level dual camera though it is missing OIS and you get om mi 6. Xiaomi A1 is the mid-range phone to look out for the season. The price of Xiaomi a1 in Nepal is Rs. 30,000
